Answer:
Boozer Lumber Company was formed in the late 1930’s.
As glulam beams became the company’s predominate
product, the name was officially changed in 1967 to
the current name.

What are BoozerBeams used for?
Answer:
BoozerBeams are Structural glued laminated timber
beams (glulam) which are primarily used to provide structural
support for the floor and roof systems. Glulam beams
are manufactured by bonding together selected prepared
wood laminations with waterproof adhesives.

What are some uses for BoozerBeam glulams?
Answer:
BoozerBeams can be effectively used over both long and
short spans of structural roof and floor systems. Some
uses include applications such as over garage doors,
windows, doors, ridges and lofts. Other applications
include serving as structural girders in floor systems.

Where are BoozerBeams made?
Answer:
Our high quality laminating plant is located on 17 acres
in Anniston, Alabama.

What specie of lumber is used in a BoozerBeam
glulam?
Answer:
Presently, we use only kiln-dried southern yellow pine
laminating stock. Every board we laminate into a BoozerBeam
has been carefully visually graded, E-rated and measured
for it is moisture content before it is qualified to
be laminated.

What is the largest BoozerBeam you can make?
Answer:
The largest BoozerBeam on record is 8 3/8”
x 28 7/8” x 52’. It weighed 3,318 pounds!

Do all BoozerBeams have the same appearance?
Answer:
No. We offer 4 appearance grades: Architectural Grade,
Industrial Grade, Framing Grade and Premium Grade.

Answer:
Yes, Absolutely! Please feel free to call, email or
fax us and we will help determine the right size BoozerBeam
for your application.

Do you sell directly to the public?
Answer:
No. We only market and sell BoozerBeams through
a national system of distributors and dealers. We feel
this is the best way to offer proper service and support
to every BoozerBeam user.

What areas of the country do you service?
Answer:
Currently, we are serving all markets west of the Rocky
Mountains. However, if needed, we’d be happy to
distribute our products even further west.
Question:
Do you make any curved or arched beams?
Answer:
Yes, we have been known to make a few curved beams before.
They have been used as top-cords in bowstring trusses.
Otherwise, we only make straight and cambered beams.
Camber is a slight curvature in the beam that is intended
to offset deadload deflection

So, does that mean you also build glulam trusses?
Answer:
Yes, we have recently begun to offer glulam trusses
fabricated from our high quality BoozerBeams.

What other specialty products do you offer?
Answer:
We manufacture a wide array of other glulam products.
Some of these include but are not limited to custom
order beams, columns, timber lighting standards, shearwall
beams, laminated crossarms, laminated roof decking and
marriage beams for manufactured housing. We also make
balance beams for gymnastics.
